A large crowd gathered to watch the bridge get connected across the river. It took two cranes. One was on Island Park, and the other at Cavennes Park. They lifted the two sides of the bridge up from each side of the river, and joined in the middle.
Salmon Idaho: Idaho Construction Company entered Salmon last month and started working on the pedestrian bridge that goes from Island Park into downtown Salmon. It's going to be totally cool! Here are pictures of the two pieces being cranned across the water channel and joined in the middle.
