Big Eight Mile

Go to downtown Leadore, Idaho and make a turn to the south. Follow the road and the signs to Big Eightmile Canyon. Travel south up the canyon and take the first left turn past the Dairy Creek access road. Follow the road to its logical end and you will be at Big 8 Mile campground. A wonderful place to start as you play in the rugged country between the Lemhi Valley and the Pahsimeroi Valley. This is bear country to be prepared.
Image: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 All Although navigable via pickup or jeep, the 4 wheeler makes this a good deal easier. The Trimble TSC-1 data collector is mounted on the handlebars. The white dome antenna is actually slipped into a piece of 3/4" pvc pipe that is mounted to a milk crate. The white cooler in the front houses the battery pack. Chainsaw, backpack, camere and I am pretty well set.
