One of the most anticipated children’s events at the Salmon Public Library is the Holiday Pajama Party, which will be held Wednesday, December 14 at 7:00 pm. It is so festive to see children in warm pajamas with their favorite stuffed animals, gather by the storyteller at the tree to hear holiday tales and stories. The children are asked to participate in singing Christmas carols. Parents are invited to attend along with their children. Santa has been invited as well! It has been said that when the children hear the tinkling of a bell, Santa will arrive and give each child a small gift.Perhaps he will come this year too!
The Lemhi County Tea Party held their final meeting for this year on December 1, 2011. Highlights of their work in 2011 included a public information meeting on the Salmon school bond proposal and a forum to meet the candidates for the Salmon City Council election. The tea party also hosted information booths at the Salmon Select Sale and the Lemhi County Fair.

In past years SRBA has contributed to the Lemhi County 4-H , Search & Rescue building improvementproject and co-sponsored a smart building project with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.

Christmas is almost here and for many that means trying to find just the right gift for their “horsie” friends, but what? They have tons of “horsie” tee and sweat shirts, enough halters for a dozen horses and more model horses and trinkets then anyone can use.
