Salmon Region Fish and Game will be holding two open houses to collect public input on the fall sage grouse season. In addition to information on sage grouse populations and season proposals, representatives from the BLM and NRCS will be on hand to discuss efforts to conserve sage grouse habitat and opportunities for sage grouse habitat projects on private land.
The meeting in Salmon will be at the Salmon Region Fish and Game office on July 19th from 4-6 PM. The meeting in Challis will be on July 20th at the Challis Community Events Center (411 Clinic Rd) from 4-6 PM. Please contact Bret Stansberry at the Salmon Region office (756-2217) for more information.
 

Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground will welcome the Sisters on the Fly group arriving on June 9, 2017. We have had such fun with this special group of women on past visits to Wagonhammer Campground and are excited for their return visit this year. Bring your sweetheart, or come to meet a new valentine, and join us for a fancy prime rib dinner starting at 6:30 on February 13 at the Elks Lodge. The menu is prime rib with horseradish cream, smashed potatoes basted with butter and garlic and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, rosemary roasted carrots, green bean salad with greens, fennel and lemon, Oddfellow's baguette and butter, and flourless chocolate torte with salted caramel and whipped cream for dessert! The dinner is going to be divine, so get your tickets early as space is limited. Dinner tickets $100.00 per couple and include the dance. Call 756-3146 for tickets. Or just come dance with the Saddle Strings Cowboy Band starting at 8 pm. The Saddle Strings hail from Hooper, Utah and are known for launching into cowboy poetry when their strings break! Come join us Saturday, January 30th, for the 12th Annual Authentic Italian Dinner, hosted by St. Charles Catholic Church.  Dinner is served from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall, located behind the church on the corner of Hope and St. Charles Streets in Salmon, Idaho.  Cost is by donation.

The Menu consists of homemade Italian meatballs, sausages, and sauce, served with pasta, salad, bread, delectable homemade desserts, coffee, tea, and water.  Wine is available for an extra charge.  Take-out orders can be placed starting Monday, January 25th, by calling the Parish Office at 208-756-2432.  Be sure to state what time you want to pick up your order on the 30th

Bring your family and friends and join us Saturday, January 30th, at St. Charles Parish Hall for an evening of fellowship and good food.  We look forward to seeing you.
